Well for starters, I can't lie to you. The engine is not the original... The engine is a standard bore 1968 Chevelle 396.
I do however have the number matching original 396 at home in the garage. I will eventually rebuild it and set it aside for that special day when I feel the need to give the car it's maximum value. But for now this is what I am going to have to live with.
I have just finished putting the original cast iron exhaust manifolds back on the car(new heat riser and all). I have also just had a custom aluminum 2.5 inch exhaust system put on the car. Boy does that big block sound good through turbo mufflers and those big pipes.

I FINALLY HAVE A NEW ENGINE PICTURE. I have replaced all of the chrome, (19 inch air cleaner and valve covers) and put in the original 1967 radiator, fan shroud, and GM square port 396/375HP aluminum high rise dual plane intake.
